Your yearly exam improves your eye health
Routine Eye Exams
If you have not had a comprehensive dilated eye exam for some time, schedule one now. A complete eye exam can check for any problems that may need treatment, including retinal problems, glaucoma, cataracts, dry eye, and many others. A routine eye exam is also the best way to find out if you need glasses or contacts.
Current guidelines also recommend a complete dilated exam for everyone over 50 years old to check for glaucoma, because this is a disease that can cause permanent vision loss without any symptoms until very late in the disease course.
